Joseph Gray

Joseph Gray originally from Detroit, has developed a versatile career playing classical and contemporary music. A dedicated chamber musician, he regularly performs across the U.S and collaborates with as many musicians as possible. As a performer, Joseph seeks to program compositions written over the last 50 years, with emphasis on local composers. In the past years, he has been awarded the 1st place Teresa Schuster Memorial Award, Dora Dawson Award, and the Dean Richardson Scholarship. Joseph has been invited to perform at numerous festivals such as: Miami Classical Music Opera Fellowship, New York Philharmonic Biennial Festival, Detroit Chamber Orchestra Festival (co-founder), and Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival. His past teachers are Wei He (Artistic Director of Juilliard-China), Ian Swensen, Joel Smirnoff, and currently studies with Simon James at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
